Going Green at the EcoSquared Fair 2007! Interesting and entertaining workshops and demonstrations filled each day. Above Mary Nordeen (of Hilltop Acres) gave a workshop on where and how wilflowers got their names.
People flocked through the EcoSquared building, stopping for information, products, conversation, and food.
The Not on a Stick food booth offered samples like Tabouli, Hummus, or Ambrosia spread, along with a full menu of alternatives to fried fair food. Many a delighted customer left with a delicious lunch and the recipe to make it at home. The Happy Dancing Turtle Welcome booth (1 of 16 booths in the EcoSquared bldg.) included a Spinner Game made with a recycled bicycle tire. Spin to Win!
Here a whole family waits to spin. After answering environment-related questions, players walked away with a prize (right or wrong)! Fair goers left with a slew of ideas, takeaways, and plans for home; so did we - for next year's fair. Curious about what we had at the fair in 2007, check out the schedule by clicking here. See you in 2008!
